The Arch
Kim & Mark
My SIL is having a baby!
Aren’t they cute!
I think Kim looks just like her mom in the picture, I don’t really know why, but to me that’s all I see.
I forced Kim and Mark to let me take their pictures last weekend, just for more practice. They were really good sports about the whole thing and I will likely make them do it again when the weather is a little warmer, but I haven’t told them that just quite yet. But they have to listen, we’re family and family puts of with the crap no one else wants too. Thanks guys.
By far my favorite picture of the day…
I told Kim months ago that when we got around to taking her maternity pictures we would be taking them in her living room/office/dinning room – the windows in that room are amazing and they didn’t disappoint! Although the sun kept ducking behind clouds making it difficult to keep my white balance from going too crazy, but it worked. And these shots are all straight out of the camera! I haven’t really had time to edit – that’s my next fun experiment. You know once I finish training for a marathon and stop working 50 hours a week. ;o)
Sadie Grace
Remember these two…
Well, they made this little beauty…Sadie Grace.
And she is adorable in every way possible.
I finally had a chance to visit the lovely family of three and shot only a few quick photos of Miss Sadie while visiting, but it was a great learning experience.
For one, I tend to get in too close to my subject, which is the opposite of most people. But I miss some key elements that can really frame a shot better.
But alas this little subject is still really cute! Here’s to Kristin and Micheal – I hope you guys make many more just like this one!
Where have you been?
Those changes I referenced back in the day, well I got a new job. As you have noticed, I don’t really talk about what I do from 9 to 5 around here. I don’t want to be one of those people that shares too much on the internet because they don’t think anyone is really reading it – I am not that foolish. But none the less, this new job has had some serious changes in my life. I am working a lot more, thus no time for recent posts or picture taking for that matter, but I am also doing something I like a lot more too. There are downsides, I terribly miss my friends I used to work with – it’s amazing how attached you become to seeing them every day and don’t realize it.
I am still struggling with the whole work-life balance of it all, especially since I am still training for a half marathon on top of it. But I am hopeful that I will have it figured out before long and will be back to a normal posting schedule soon.
Wish me luck!
P-Dub
Holy Crap! We met the Pioneer Woman!
The four of us, Kim, Leann, Deidra and I, had the greatest day – well and Ely too. Who knew that you could shop around in the Lennox shopping center all day?!? But in the end it was totally worth it. PW was very nice and patient with everyone, and Leann even made her laugh. It was a great day of hanging with the ladies.
They think I’m funny…

Changes
New Glasses?
I ran out quick today with a co-worker so she could pick up her new glasses…and I think I fell in love. I might have to get these!
Thanks for all of the suggestions about my 365 project. I would like to continue with it, however have lots on my plate at the moment and I envision things are about to get even more crazy! So, I plan to switch it up to a Project52 – one picture every week for the next 52 weeks. And hopefully, as Mike said, I can show great pictures rather than something I just snapped when I got home from work. ;o)
